Marketing Training Day to be held January 10th promises to increase your sales.

Keshena, WI – Menominee Chamber of Commerce, Inc. in cooperation with NiiJii Enterprises will be sponsoring a Marketing Training Day at the Menominee Casino Resort and Conference Center on January 10th, 2013.

Research Specialist for the Office of Private Sector Initiative and advisor for the Menominee Chamber of Commerce, Renee Mahkimetas said, “This interactive event will not only inform your business on what marketing is, but why it is so important and beneficial in today’s economic times – It’s all about your business!”

The audience will be looking for ways to get a high return on their marketing investment. Presentations have been scheduled to help businesses improve search engine rankings, present a professional image, and develop their marketing plan. There will be social media marketing how’s and whys, as well as a discourse about tourism on tribal land.

The morning keynote address will be on customer loyalty and relationships. Terra L. Fletcher, owner of Fletcher Freelance will be presenting. Fletcher is a business writer, marketing consultant, and social media expert from Shawano. Fletcher works with a variety of business persons in a variety of industries. She is a member of the Shawano, Menominee, and Pulaski Chambers of Commerce.

The afternoon’s keynote will be given by Steve Sengstock, Executive Director of Shawano County Economic Progress (SCEPI). Sengstock is a business development and entrepreneurial support professional who helps communities and their businesses grow, creating jobs and expanding the tax base in the process.

Nicole Bowman, owner of Bowman Performance Consulting, will be presenting “Context Matters: Marketing Applications to the Local and Tribal Context.” The presentation will help participants to become aware of the context in which they are marketing their business. They will be given strategies, tools, and examples on how to transform current marketing strategies/materials.

The presentation will provide a basic operational understanding of the rural and tribal context so the process and professional behaviors associated with marketing are appropriate, effective, and efficient. Session participants can expect active learning strategies and lively discussion. Participants will leave with new tools that will help them in their quest for new clients from rural and tribal communities.
